John is an internationally recognized chef, wine and food educator, and author credited as one of the founding fathers of Wine Country Cuisine. When he owned his restaurant, John Ash & Company, he was one of the leaders in cooking with seasonable ingredients that were local and sustainable and paired the foods with famed wineries. He was also featured on the Food Network for two years and has written several books, including "From the Earth to the Table: John Ash's Wine Country Cuisine", which won the IACP Julia Child Cookbook of the Year award.
